“Tuscaloosa’s CBDB made a long trek north yesterday stopping in at Milkboy in Philadelphia on Chestnut St. for a powerful set of progressive jams and ‘JoyFunk’. Funky bass tones were delivered from David Ray with Cy Simonton on the main vocals and guitar, Kris Gottlieb shredding up solos and adding more flavor on vox. Glenn Dillard charmed us with Sax solos and spacey keyboard tones with drummer Paul Oliver gripping the sticks. These guys can jam and they want you to know it. They dive deep into it and definitely possess a certain tightness as a band. Watch the video below from last night. They stop at Gypsy Sally’s in Washington D.C. on Friday 6/17 and make their way back up north to Port Chester NY at Garcia’s after The Claypool Lennon Delirium at The Capitol Theatre on 6/18 and NYC’s Mercury Lounge on Sunday 6/19.
